Earl Sweatshirt announces new album and shares track “The Mint”

Three years after his LP I Don’t Like Shit, I Don’t Go Outside, Earl Sweatshirt has announced a new album called Some Rap Songs.

Due out on 30 November, the album will address the death of his father, Keorapetse Kgositsile, among other subject matter. “Me and my dad had a relationship that’s not uncommon for people to have with their fathers, which is a non-perfect one,” said Earl in a statement. “Talking to him is symbolic and non-symbolic, but it’s literally closure for my childhood. Not getting to have that moment left me to figure out a lot with my damn self.”

As well as announcing the album, Earl dropped a track called “The Mint”, which features Navy Blue and was produced by Black Noi$e. Listen above!
