Mountain Man make sombre American folk music with their three beautiful voices and some simple acoustic guitar. Starting out in Spring of '09 Amelia Meath, Molly Sarle, and Alex Sauser-Monnig have already recorded a stunning demo album (download it here), which I haven’t been able to stop listening to for weeks. With the level of success Fleet Foxes and Bon Iver have had in England over the past few years, Mountain Man are perfectly set up to become our new favourite folk darlings.
Underwater Peoples will release a 10” record of Mountain Man tracks later this month. ‘Dog Song’ will be one of them.

- These ladies are amazing! I haven't stopped listening to their music and have recommended them to everyone I know. I hope to see them spread their music far and wide (which it seems it's already happening!). Mountain Man does nothing but soothe the soul and I find true tranquility in listening to them. Rock on ladies.
