If you're a skateboarder, you'll already be perfectly aware of who Alex Olson is – for the rest of you who aren't; Alex is a pro-skater who gets to travel the world to perform tricks at various demonstrations and film for videos that skateboarders drool over while watching relentlessly.
Alex recently took up photography, which he's also surprisingly good at. His documentary style photographs give us a personal insight into his life - travelling around the world with people like Brian Anderson , Mike Carroll and Brandon Biebel .Below are a selection of images taken while on Girl Skateboard's "Outbackwards" tour in Australia

- Fair comment Tommy. This guy is obviously just getting into photography but has instantly received more recognition than a normal person because he is a pro skater. I guess people are more interested in the photographs because he has access to these other pros. Just like people were interested in photographers that had access to Warhol, Basquiat etc. It will be interesting to see this guys work in a year or twos time.

- I may be cynical but I'm sadly not a fuck head art student. People will always compare artists/photographers/musicians etc with others that have come before, that's just the way the world is. You should really ask yourself why my opinion offends you up so much? It seems to me that no one can openly dislike any of the work on this or many others like it without someone biting their head off?

- why do people feel the need to compare artists to other artists. Tommy, I bet you're a little cynical fuck head art student who thinks his opinion on other peoples art means a slippy shit, well I've got news for ya bub... no one gives a fuck.
