Peski Records are a tiny label based in Wales. They tell us about one of their newest signings, VVOLVES.
"It's not often the residents of Peskiville get excited, but after hearing new band VVOLVES even the old people were using their bedpans more than usual. We first came across them when they were in two fine bands, Byd Dydd Sul and Zimmermans and got in touch to find out their plans. A couple of months back we received a casual e-mail asking what we thought of their new band, VVOLVES. Just like when someone first saw Maradona kick a ball, there was something special about the band that made us sit up. Prodigiously gifted, they’d only been together for a few months, and yet they’d already crafted a batch of stunning industrial electro tunes simmering with brilliant intensity and vocals brimming with shouty youthful swagger. Adding to the charm, they’d recorded it all themselves, playing into that DIY ethic we love as a label.
We like to put a big emphasis on artwork and amongst the band’s ranks are some top notch artists who come up with all the ideas for the visual side of the band as well. This pack of VVOLVES seemingly can do everything, and we thought they’d fit into the Peski family brilliantly. They’ll be recording more tracks in June, which will then be released either as a single or EP on Peski as a limited edition vinyl after the summer."
