An anonymous customer spent $1 million at Toys R Us and donated everything to local children

As a final farewell to Toys R Us, which shuttered over 700 stores across the US on Friday, one anonymous shopper decided to blow $1 million to buying up every last toy in the Triangle Town store in North Carolina, donating everything to local children in need.

After the order was placed, staff at the branch didn’t even need to open the shop’s doors. Instead, they were busy packing up boxes of toys and loaded them on a truck to be distributed to the children at a later date.

While the shopper remained completely unknown, staff members speculated it was someone with extremely deep pockets, such as Bill Gates of Jeff Bezos. I guess we’ll never know (as it should be)…
