Independent director Larry Clark (Kids) is back with a surprise sequel to his lo-fi film Marfa Girl, which premiered at Rome Film Festival back in 2012.
Three and a half years on, this will be Clark’s first ever foray a “franchise” and once again stars Adam Mediano, Drake Burnette, Mercedes Maxwell, Jonathan Velasquez, Indigo Rael, and Jeremy St. James. This time however, it follows the group as they deal with a heart-breaking tragedy and their intense desires to escape their small-town lives. Of course, no Larry Clark film would be complete without a healthy dose of sex and drugs.
According to Clark, fans of the original Marfa Girl kept reaching out and asking for a follow up, so he made it. “I hope they enjoy it,” he said.
The film will have a limited theatrical release in New York and Los Angeles on 2 November. Watch the trailer above.
