Anyone familiar with PlayStation will be aware of the well-thumbed “X” button on the controller, but in a revelation almost as big as the GIF/”Jiff” fiasco, it’s now been revealed that we’ve all been calling it the wrong thing this whole time.
Sony took to Twitter to announce the “correct” pronunciation, posting a poll to its 17 million followers asking them what they call the button before correcting them all. Clearly, the vast majority of gamers went with X [“eks”]. In actual fact, we should have been saying “cross” this whole time.
Just to be clear, that means the pad has Triangle, Circle, Cross and Square… we’re not sold.
Triangle
Circle
Cross
SquareIf Cross is called X (it's not), then what are you calling Circle?🤔 https://t.co/dvQ19duemW
