Apple goes up against Netflix with TV+ streaming service

Aware that its services segment is fuelling most of its growth, Apple has announced a new video streaming serve called Apple TV+, putting it in direct completion with Netflix and Amazon Video.

Due to launch this autumn, the streaming service will offer high quality programming created by and starring talents such as Steve Spielberg, Jennifer Aniston, Reese Witherspoon, J.J. Abrams, and Oprah Winfrey, with new content released every month.

The service will be available exclusively on the TV app when it launches in 100 countries later this year. Pricing is yet to be announced, but expect it to be around £9.99 a month.
