According to analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, Apple is gearing up to release an “all-new” version of the MacBook Pro this year, as well as a 31.6-inch 6K display.
The research note was obtained by MacRumors and details that the MacBook Pro will have a screen size of between 16 and 16.5 inches, making it the biggest in the range, as well as a completely reimagined design. Given that the Touch Bar models were introduced just a little over 2 years ago, the move would be somewhat surprising, but as The Verge notes, the new design hasn’t been overly popular so Apple may be looking to switch things up.
Mac Pro users will also be pleased to hear that Kuo believes a new model is on the way with “easy to upgrade components” – a feature that has been desperately requested for years.
Stay tuned for more information as it becomes available.
