The thought of crashing a $2 million hypercar is enough to make your eyes water, but what about crashing sixteen of them?
That’s exactly what hypercar manufacturer Koenigsegg has to do to pass US regulations, building sixteen of its Regera model and smashing them up in every conceivable way. Sixteen cars may not sound like a big deal, and it isn’t for most manufacturers, but for Koenigsegg that’s basically it’s annual production run.
In this video, we meet members of the Koenigsegg who explain the work that goes into these test procedures and how painful it can be to watch their babies get destroyed. Of course, it’s all in the name of safety, which can be no bad thing.
