Director Edgar Wright, who’s possibly best known for the “Three Flavours Cornetto Trilogy” (The World’s End, Shaun of the Dead and Hot Fuzz) has taken to Twitter to tease us with a potential sequel to his action film Baby Driver.
Last December, Wright already said that he was going to be pushing for a sequel to the film, which brought in his biggest box office figures to date. “Those talks are already in the works. The deal is being hammered out as we speak,” he said when speaking to Entertainment Weekly. “So, hopefully, I’m going to at least write a second one. I’ve definitely got lots of ideas. Whether it’s the next movie, I don’t know.”
Now though, he’s suggested it may be coming sooner than we think. “Baby Driver was released one year ago today. Had a wild ride with it in the last 365 days,” he tweeted. “So I thank you for all your beautiful responses, it means everything. And who knows, maybe he could get back on the road soon…”
