In the lead up to its release date on 8 November, the final trailer has been released for Warner Bros.’ triller Doctor Sleep.
It’s a sort of sequel (or homage) to Stanley Kubrick’s classic The Shining, taking us back to the Colorado Rockies and the famous Overlook Hotel 40-years after the original film’s events.
“Still irrevocably scarred by the trauma he endured as a child at the Overlook, Dan Torrance (played by Ewan McGregor) has fought to find some semblance of peace. But that peace is shattered when he encounters Abra, a courageous teenager with her own powerful extrasensory gift, known as the shine,” reads the synopsis. “Instinctively recognising that Dan shares her power, Abra has sought him out, desperate for his help against the merciless Rose the Hat and her followers, The True Knot, who feed off the shine of innocents in their quest for immortality.”
In this trailer, we see Torrance and Abra face their fears, heading back to the hotel for one final showdown.
Release is set for 8 November 2019.
