UNIQLO is expressing a desire to move away from its “fast fashion” beginnings with a new free magazine called LifeWear.
The publication aims to expand UNIQLO’s brand into more of a lifestyle offering and features profile pieces, city guide, and various celebrations of timeless garments.
It’s being overseen by Takahiro Kinoshita, the former editor-in-chief of POPEYE, so we can certainly expect some quality content. This issue in particular includes UNIQLO brand ambassador Roger Federer, a look at the JW Anderson Fall/Winter 2019 collection, a profile of UNIQLO U collaborator Christophe Lemaire, and a history of fleece outerwear.
Essentially it’s one large advert for UNIQLO, and what else could we expect from a brand publication, however it seems to have been done in the best possible way.
You’ll be able to pick up a copy in UNIQLO stores soon.
