A brand new version of David Bowie’s track “Zeroes” has been released. The song originally featured on his 1987 album Never Let Me Down, but has now been stripped down and reimagined by producer Mario McNulty, who has apparently been working with some of Bowie’s age old collaborators on the projects.
“Stripping this song down to its core revealed a track that could have been right at home on ‘Hunky Dory’,” said McNulty. “I kept Peter Frampton’s sitar as it still fits against the new guitars from Reeves Gabrels.”
The new version will feature on a box set collection of David Bowie’s ’80s work called Loving the Alien, due to be released on 21 October. It will also include outtakes, b-sides, demos and the previously unreleased live album Serious Moonlight.
