Netflix acquires the global streaming rights to Seinfeld

As Apple and Disney both prepare to launch their own streaming services, Netflix is upping the ante and has acquired the global streaming rights to the hugely popular Seinfeld.

It may seem like everyone has already filled their boots full of Seinfeld, but statistics show that’s not necessarily the case, as both The Office and Friends proved to be hugely popular on the platform. In fact, the former was the most-watched show on Netflix.

The deal will last for five years and will begin in 2021, just as The Office leaves. No doubt the company has its eye on some other hot properties to bolster its roster, so stay tuned…
