Directed by Dan Fogelman, Life Itself is a romantic drama following a couple (played by Oscar Isaac and Olivia Wilde) who, after falling in love at college, go on to get married and start a family. As you might expect, it looks like it’s going to be a bit of a tear-jerker, with the pair going through all the ups and downs that life brings. It’s easy to tun your nose up at these sort of romantic films, but this actually looks like it will be pretty touching.
“Director and writer Dan Fogelman (“This Is Us”) examines the perils and rewards of everyday life in a multigenerational saga that celebrates the human condition and all of its complications with humor, poignancy and love,” reads the synopsis.
Co-stars include Antonio Banderas, Annette Bening, Olivia Cooke, Sergio Peris- Mencheta, Laia Costa, Alex Monner and Mandy Patinkin.
Release is set for 21 September 2018 (oh, and the song in the trailer is “Little Giant” by Roo Panes, in case you were wondering).
