Directed by La La Land‘s Damien Chazelle, First Man charts Neil Armstrong’s legendary Apoloo 11 spaceflight to the moon. Chazelle is once again working with Ryan Gosling, who takes the lead role as Armstrong alongside Pablo Schreiber, Kyle Chandler, and Jason Clarke.
Based on the book First Man: A Life Of Neil A. Armstrong by James Hansen, as well as focussing on the flight itself, the film also delves into Armstrong’s personal life and the difficulties he had with his marriage while in training. Read the full synopsis below:
