Thom Yorke’s new album ANIMA to be released next week

It’s now been confirmed that Thom Yorke’s next solo album ANIMA, made in collaboration with longtime Radiohead producer Nigel Godrich, will be released by XL on 27 June.

In typical Yorke style, the album was mysteriously teased through a series of dystopian adverts for ANIMA Technologies – a company which claimed to be able to “get your dreams back”.

A teaser has also been released for a “one-reeler” that Yorke worked on alongside director Paul Thomas Anderson. The 10-12 minute short will be aired on Netflix on to accompany the LP, but very little is little is known about what the film consists of. Of course, three tracks from ANIMA will make up the soundtrack of the film.

ANIMA Tracklisting:

1. Traffic
2. Last I Heard (…He Was Circling the Drain)
3. Twist
4. Dawn Chorus
5. I Am a Very Rude Person
6. Not the News
7. The Axe
8. Impossible Knots
9. Runwayaway
