Vagabon has released the video for her new track “Water Me Down”.
Directed by Maegan Houang, the colourful visuals feature two women dancing through various sets, all choreographed by Derek Nemechek.
As with all her videos, this one was shot on 16mm film to give an atmospheric and lo-fi feel, while the colours reflect those used on her album cover.
“Derek Nemecheck and I worked together on movement,” she says of the video. “We never strayed from the dancing that felt natural in my body and it was so rewarding. Maegan Houang executed these ideas beautifully.”
The track comes from Vagabon’s eponymous album, which is due to be released on 18 October through Nonesuch Records.
