
Fashion giant ZARA has worked alongside Baron & Baron agency to updates its logo, opting to remove the wide spacing between the letters and instead have them overlapping. Curved accents have also been added to both the “Z” and the “R”.

While the logo change hasn’t exactly been welcomed with open arms by people within the designs industry – Erik Spiekermann called it “the worst piece of type I’ve seen in years” – it is nice to see a company embracing serif fonts and not just joining the plethora of ubiquitous, widely spaced, sans-serifs logos out there (looking at you, Saint Laurent and Burberry).
